Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk
Exciting opportunities have emerged within a non-lethal training ammunition company, which is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to spearhead projects and innovate new products.
Position Summary:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and equipment issues.
- Disassemble machines and equipment as needed to replace worn mechanical parts.
- Identify and procure spare parts necessary for maintaining continuous production operations.
- Investigate and propose enhancements or cost-saving measures.
- Operate and maintain lathe machines and associated equipment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience with production machinery, especially lathe machines.
- Background in performing maintenance roles within a production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble machines and replace components such as bearings and conveyor belts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects effectively.
- Familiarity with maintenance best practices and safety protocols.
