Your new company has been in business for over 50 years, developing, building and maintaining the very best construction projects across the UK across a wide variety of sectors. Due to the natural growth of the company, they are recruiting an Assistant QS to join their Cardiff team.
Your new role
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Support the senior QS in managing project finances, including tracking costs and ensuring budget adherence.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather necessary information and resolve any issues.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project status and financial performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
- Tier 1 Main Contractor working history.
- High rise project experience is preferred.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant QS software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
