Our School is dedicated to providing a therapeutic education tailored to children with a range of needs including ASD and ADHD. Our recent expansion allows us to support up to 34 pupils, offering both residential and day schooling options. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

We are a nurturing environment committed to supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our growing team. This role is ideal for teachers with experience in special needs education, but we also welcome applications from all qualified teachers, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver whole class lessons as well as 1:1 interventions, either for yourself or for a Learning Support Assistant to complete.
  • Ensure that the outcomes of EHCPs are at the heart of all plans, with experience in this area being highly desirable.
  • Address the development of the whole child, viewing each child as an individual and tailoring educational approaches accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our children.
  • Participate actively in our full induction programme and contribute to our supportive team environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong ability to manage and positively influence challenging behaviours.
  • Robust and quick-thinking capabilities in dynamic educational settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children, with an enhanced DBS check required for successful candidates.
