We are a market leader in providing insights and delivering value to managers of renewable energy projects. Everything we do is designed to increase the transparency, simplicity, and efficiency of the renewable energy sector in the journey towards net-zero.

Our online power purchase agreement (PPA) platform is the cornerstone of our offering in the UK, and we're currently active in Germany and expanding into more international markets. We add value to our clients while ensuring that we take an ethical, client-first approach to everything we do.

Role

In your role as Business Development Manager, you'll be a crucial part of the UK sales team, responsible for growing and expanding our client base by finding and converting new generator accounts.

What You'll Be Doing at Our Green-Tech Start-Up

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Identify, target, and acquire new owners of renewable energy projects (such as investment funds, asset managers, and developers) to support customers in optimizing the sale of their electricity.
  • Take full ownership of a business development pipeline, delivering value to clients through a relationship-focused sales process.
  • Develop or build upon an in-depth understanding of the UK power market and use this expertise to communicate market insights to our clients.
  • Build strong client relationships by communicating regularly, traveling to in-person meetings, and networking at industry events.
  • Be curious! Find innovative ways of adding value to our clients through different consultancy, reporting, and optimization services.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Commercially focused and able to deliver superb sales results while delivering outstanding service to clients.
  • 2-10 years of business development experience with a proven track record.
  • You don't have to have direct experience in the energy industry, but if you do or you've specifically worked with power purchase agreements, we'd like to hear from you.
  • An excellent communicator through phone, video calls, email, and in-person meetings, with experience pitching to company directors or equivalent.
  • Motivated and driven to deliver the best service possible to our clients and develop long-term relationships.
  • Confident with presenting complex data sets to deliver high-level insights and analytics to key clients.
  • Ideally based in Bristol but we are also open to candidates based in the UK in locations that can conveniently travel to Bristol and London.
  • Passionate about sustainability and accelerating the journey to net-zero.

Benefits

We're excited to contribute to the journey to net-zero using technology and innovation to support Renewable Energy generators. We can offer you a genuinely purpose-led career with a culture built on trust, innovation, and fun. In addition, we'll give you:

  • Flexibility: we can build a working schedule that works for you, whether it's to accommodate the school run or manage some of that life admin. We understand that flexibility is important and we trust you to do the right thing for you and us.
