A highly prestigious and well known university that ranks in the top 10 worldwide universities is recruiting for a fully on site IT and Audio Visual Support Officer to be based in their newly generated East London campus. This will be an initial 6 month position to start as soon as possible.
The purpose of the AV and IT Support Officer role is to provide prompt, in-depth, customer-focused 2nd line support to staff, students and honorary contract holders.
The IT and AV Support Officer will provide field, phone and remote based support of the university's Managed Desktop, desktops/laptops, mobile devices, networking equipment, audio visual equipment, multimedia equipment, video conferencing, specialist equipment and other peripherals used by academic staff, administrative staff and students.
The IT and AV Support Officer will form part of a medium sized team and will be expected to work within virtual teams across other parts of the technology team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide 2nd line remote technical support for managed IT/AV/VC/Networking hardware and software
Remotely resolve escalated incidents from the Service Desk, adhering to agreed service levels.
Install IT, networking and AV devices in their physical locations across campus
Undertake desk-side customer support
Resolving desk-side incidents & hardware problems which cannot be addressed remotely
Support and service of assigned zones
Providing remote and in-person management & support for IT, AV, Video Conferencing, networking and other learning and teaching technologies
Assist/carry out AV/IT/Networking installations as per instructions
Configure and install AV, IT and networking devices
Managing imaging, installation and configuration of AV, IT and networking hardware & software
