Job Purpose:
To be fully responsible for the ownership and management of factory technical & quality standards and compliance in a high care, chilled & ambient environment, ensuring that all products supplied comply with strict food safety requirements and agreed customer specifications in a sustainable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement, promote and enforce a total quality management approach from field to fork.
Design, implement and monitor the site QMS in its entirety ensuring that legislative, third party, customer and business standards are included at every stage.
Manage and lead the site HACCP.
Safe and effective process flow design including temperature management, stock management and allergen control.
Champion customer service for the site, ensuring that all finished product meets customer expectations.
Manage, maintain and communicate raw material and customer specifications.
Point of contact for all quality standards including varietal characteristics, seasonal challenges and product origin.
Develop, implement and review waste management systems that promote responsible business.
Build and maintain resilient customer relationships.
Conduct supplier visits and formal audits including supplier performance reviews for quality and OTIF delivery standards.
Qualifications:
Advanced HACCP Level 4.
Customer specific auditing experience and qualification including F2F and WFA.
Internal audit qualification to QCF level 3.
Work Experience:
Experience of interpreting national and customer standards and their implementation.
Experience in a high care fresh produce food production environment.
Management of allergens in differing formats and uses.
Experience of quality management systems, compilation, implementation and review.
Experience of leading all aspects of site based internal audits.
Formal communication and auditing of supplier standards.
Specification writing, communication and verification including all aspects of product description and labelling information.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills
The ability to compile, collate, communicate and present key data.
Face to face direct exposure to customers and third parties.
