Internal Sales Executive

We are seeking a professional and confident Internal Sales Executive for our client based in Cannock to act as the first point of contact with their customers. This role is crucial in portraying the company's professionalism and dedication to outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will capitalise on commercial opportunities through effective negotiation of prices to achieve sales targets set by the Management Team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Handle telephone, email, and web enquiries efficiently, providing timely quotations.
  • Proactively follow up on all quotations until an order is secured or the enquiry is closed, documenting reasons for loss if applicable.
  • Verify all order details for accuracy before passing to the Support Team for processing.
  • Expand the customer base within their specific business sector.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of competitors and their pricing strategies.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets within set timescales.
  • Provide sales forecasts and reports to Management as required.
  • Ensure all customer complaints are promptly forwarded to the Support Team with necessary details.
  • Proactively develop their own area of the business, adhering to company processes and procedures.
  • Provide assistance and cover for colleagues during peak times or absences.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed by the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an internal sales role or similar.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Competency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
