Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the company's R&D team and all projects they undertake to ensure they hit agreed deadlines. Along with management of the R&D team, you will also be responsible for analysing tenders, writing progress reports, identifying risks and developing work schedules.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Project Manager

  • Ensure clear task prioritisation through the use of the YouTrack/Jira and Agile project management system with regular team meetings
  • Liaising with team members, management and customers to ensure projects are completed to the required standard.
  • Working with the R&D team to identify and communicate risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place as soon as possible to keep projects and tasks on track.
  • Multi-disciplined approach, focused on supporting all R&D teams in problem solving
  • Provide mediation between different discipline (electronic, mechanical) engineers in order to ensure effective communication between R&D teams and team members.
  • Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
  • Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Line management of R&D team leads

Key Competencies of a Senior Project Manager

  • Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams (direct & indirect)
  • Experienced with product development
  • Qualified in engineering (hardware & software experience ideally
  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record of process improvement
  • Pro?cient in agile project management & Jira
  • Experienced in risk management and budgeting
  • Background in engineering (Electronic/Mechanical/Software)
  • Experience dealing with high pro?le customers/clients
