Reed/LTA are seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to join our dedicated team on a long-term basis starting in September lasting potentially through to the whole academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator with a vast knowledge of early years to make a significant impact on young learners' lives.

Day to Day of the Role:

Delivering engaging and dynamic lessons to early year pupils in accordance with the eyfs curriculum.

You'll lead a reception class (typically consisting of 4-5-year-olds) within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your teaching will cover various subjects, including literacy, numeracy, and creative activities.

Planning, preparing, and assessing lessons to track and enhance pupil progress.

Regularly assess children's progress, adapting your teaching methods to meet their individual needs.

Creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.

Familiarise yourself with the EYFS statutory framework, which outlines the standards for early education and care.

Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's ethos.

Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.

Participating in school events and activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Reception/Early Years.

Prior experience working within the EYFS is essential. Understanding child development and play-based learning is crucial.

A genuine love for working with young children and the patience to guide them through their early learning journey.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum and assessment framework.

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.

Commitment to professional development and staying up to date with educational research.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team of teachers and support staff.
