Senior Production Operative
Margate
Salary - £11.91 per hour + night shift allowance
Hours: Sunday - Tuesday, 7pm-5am and Wed - 7:30pm-5am

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Operative to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the production line, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities for the role of Senior Production Operative
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring that production schedules are met and that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards
- Monitor and control the production process to ensure efficiency and minimise waste
- Set up and operate machinery, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and safely
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior production operatives, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
- Assist the Production Manager in assigning tasks and ensuring that the team operates in a cohesive and effective manner
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all products meet company and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of production data, quality checks, and machine performance
- Identify and report any deviations from quality standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary
Person specification for the role of Senior Production Operative
- Experience in a production role within the food industry, with at least 1 years in a senior operative position
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, quality control, and HACCP principles
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
