1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B30 | £85 - £100 per day | September 2024

LTF Recruitment are searching for patient and calm 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming two form entry Infant School in Kings Norton. The role would be supporting a child in year two with SEN & challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience managing challenging behaviours, to have a real impact on their educational journey. The role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Providing individual support to a student with challenging behaviours.
  • Working closely with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for this student.
  • Encouraging active participation and engagement in the learning process.
  • Supporting their overall wellbeing by carrying out targeted interventions that aid their learning and development.

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification/degree, or at least a year's experience supporting Early Years or KS1 students.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviours and de-escalation experience.
  • Experience of working with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Ability to work independently without teacher direction.
