The Role

As a Teacher of Art at our Romford-based school, you will:

  • Teach Art: Deliver engaging and innovative art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to express their creativity and develop their skills.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enrichment of the art curriculum, ensuring it remains exciting and relevant.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and support the progress of all students, providing feedback that encourages artistic growth and academic achievement.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Art department and other colleagues to share best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver art lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate records of their artistic development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
  • Support extracurricular art activities, exhibitions, and events.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Art or a related subject.
  • A passion for art and a commitment to inspiring a love of creativity in students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
