THE COMPANY
This is an opportunity to join a leading UK brand in their established Data Science unit - a team devoted to utilising machine learning and advanced statistical techniques to produce valuable insights for the business.
You will report into the Head of Data Science and work closely with senior figures to advise and deliver on data science projects ranging from pricing to customer behaviour to profitability analysis. As a company they are investing significantly in the area of data science and machine learning and this person is the first step towards growing the team in 2024!
This company operates on a UK-wide scale and has a customer database over 1 million (in the UK alone) and so there is the potential to see your work have a huge impact on a huge scale.
THE ROLE
As the Senior Data Scientist you will be:
- Helping to grow a brand new data science capability in a well-known UK brand
- Delivering impactful machine learning across several business units, communicating your work to a range of technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborating with other data scientists, data and software engineers
- Exploring new ways for the company to make the most out of its data!
SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Hands-on experience with Python for machine learning/statistical techniques
- 3-4 years experience in a commercial data science role
- Masters degree qualification in a quantitative discipline (maths, computer science, statistics, machine learning etc.)
- Experience with SQL
