We are a specialist independent school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is seeking a Teacher with a robust knowledge of the curriculum to teach secondary aged pupils. Our Ofsted 2024 rating commends our outstanding Pupil Personal Development and Behaviour and Attitudes, and we are dedicated to fostering self-confidence, independence, and resilience through an engaging and holistic curriculum.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver personalised teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that encourage self-confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to facilitate learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall learning programme, ensuring student progression.
  • Engage with pupils beyond the classroom, supporting their development and wellbeing.
  • Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience in classroom teaching and working with children who have ASD.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and inspection requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with learners, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Patience and skills to manage behaviour effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
