Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Worker for a Local Authority Client based in North London.
In this role, you will provide targeted support to families, helping to improve their health, well-being, and educational outcomes while preventing issues from escalating to require statutory intervention.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families needs.
- Develop and implement whole-family action plans, regularly evaluating progress against shared outcomes.
- Manage cases involving children in need or at risk, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures to safeguard vulnerable children and adults.
- Manage a caseload of families, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely intervention.
- Deliver early intervention packages, including evidence-based programs, or refer families to appropriate services.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience working with children, young people, and families.
- Experience conducting comprehensive assessments of families' needs using frameworks like the Common Assessment Framework (CAF).
- Experience creating and evaluating whole-family action plans with a focus on achieving shared outcomes.
- Experience working with families in crisis situations, including those involving domestic violence, substance misuse, or children on the edge of care.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20+ph
- may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
