The Production Manager is a pivotal hire and will play an essential role in managing processes operating on batch and continuous equipment, taking appropriate proactive or reactive measures to maintain and improve performance/efficiencies.
This role would suit someone who is both strategical and operational, a proactive problem solver, and can lead, motivate and inspire a team.
The Production Manager responsibilities will include:
- Oversee daily operations of the chemical plant to ensure efficiency and compliance with COMAH regulations
- Manage change (technical and organisational) and coordinate cross-funtional project delivery for new and existing assets
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless production and operational flow
- Manage and lead a team of plant personnel, providing training and development as needed
- Monitor and optimise production processes, ensuring quality control and cost-effectiveness
We would like to speak with Production Managers with the following skills:
- Degree qualified in a chemistry or engineering field is desirable
- Extensive experience in chemical plant operations
- NEBOSH certification
- In-depth knowledge of COMAH regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
