As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and fostering business growth.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this Finance Business Partner role are.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights, analysis, and support for key business decisions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within the finance function and across the organisation.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational performance, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Month End & Year End: Lead month-end and year-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- P&L Management: Take ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, providing analysis, commentary, and recommendations to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
- Board Packs & Commentary: Prepare comprehensive board packs containing financial reports, analysis, and commentary to support decision-making at the highest level.
Requirements:
This Finance Business Partner role requires the following:
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar commercial finance role, preferably within an SME environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in business partnering and building effective relationships with operational teams.
- Excellent understanding of financial processes, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is desirable.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
