Quality Control Inspector

Worksop

£25k - £30k

My client is an extremely well-established brand owner and retail supplier across many brands and products and due to expansion across their UK operations, we are supporting in their search for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join the team at their site close to Worksop.

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this key role where you will carry out inspections on finished goods to ensure that the company's products meet all quality standards before release to the supply chain.

Monday to Friday – 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out inspection of finished goods against agreed specifications to ensure the items pass the acceptance criteria.
  • To record the results of that testing/inspection appropriately.
  • To input and record that information on to the quality database.
  • To communicate to other departments the outcome of the results and provide accurate feedback of any issue's raised during the inspections.
  • Investigate product quality incidents and customer complaints and ensure corrective action follow up.
  • Raise non-conformance reports.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the warehouse environment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working in a similar distribution/supply chain environment.
  • Experience of developing & implementing processes and promoting change.
  • Able to work autonomously and sometimes under pressure.
  • Must have good attention to detail, with the ability to document quality issues, raise non-conformances and other concerns.
  • Have a full understanding of the Average Weight System.
  • Strong communication skills and team player.
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure and to tight time constraints.
  • Excellent management, organisation and prioritisation skills.
