Are you passionate about both the creative arts and cutting-edge technology? Do you have the drive to inspire and engage secondary school students? We are currently recruiting for an exceptional Art and Technology Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in the Rotherham area.

About the Role: Starting in January, this is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to teach across a range of year groups (KS3 and KS4). You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that blend traditional art techniques with modern technological skills, encouraging students to explore and develop their creativity. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape an innovative curriculum that fosters both artistic expression and digital literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Technology that meet the curriculum standards.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in both creative and technological fields.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources, incorporating new media, design software, and traditional art materials.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the department and school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Art, Design Technology, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Art and/or Technology in a secondary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of both traditional art forms and modern technological tools (e.g., CAD, digital media).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student development.
