Are you skilled in supporting young people with challenging behavior? We are seeking motivated and resilient Behaviour Mentors to work in a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Leyton. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring for students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Support students in re-engaging with their education and developing positive behavioral strategies.
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies to provide a holistic support system.
- Assist in delivering tailored behavior intervention programs to address individual needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and contribute to their reintegration plans.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with challenging behavior, preferably in a PRU or similar setting.
- A proactive and resilient approach to managing challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with disengaged students.
- A relevant qualification or training in behavior management is desirable but not essential.
