Behaviour Mentor

A "Good" primary school located in Camden have approached us with regards to a behaviour mentor role available in their school.

If you are looking for your next opportunity in a school where you can develop your skills, this may be the opportunity for you. The school offers a wealth of support, and you would be closely working with the SENCO, Senior Leadership and Classroom Teachers to enhance the outcomes for their students.

As a behaviour mentor you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning and behavioural needs. This role will entail you working closely with students who have identified learning or behavioural difficulties that may hinder their learning. You may plan and deliver a wide range of extra-curricular activities which promote learning, good behaviour, better social skills and well-being. You may also lead activities during break and lunch times to promote positive relationships between children and encourage positive mental health, as well as a range of other responsibilities within the classroom such as leading intervention groups.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A genuine passion for working with students with SEN or behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student progress.
  • Previous experience working in SEN or school settings
