My client, a leading Property Firm is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their expanding team. The company has recently acquired a number of new businesses that will increase the revenue for the group function.
As a Junior Accountant you will be responsible for delivering for a high value portfolio reporting directly into the Finance Director. Other duties will consist of.
- Preparation of sales invoices, processing of purchase invoices and maintaining cash book.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and all monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all balances are supported by appropriate documentation.
- Complete intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register, depreciation schedules and IFRS 16 lease calculations.
- Preparation and review of interest calculation schedules.
- Prepare and post monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Review and analyse monthly trial balances and variances.
- Preparation and review of annual finance statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax & legal advisors (when required).
- Preparation and review of VAT and CIT returns.
- Supporting budget holders with Purchase Order creation and monitoring.
- Perform monthly detailed expense analysis for use by senior finance.
- Part Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant
- Educated to degree level
- Relevant broader finance experience
- Intermediate to advanced excel
