Pensions Administrator-Sass & Sipp

Scheme Establishment

  • Preparing all necessary documentation for the Consultant to present to the clients.
  • Collating information on prior schemes and preparing first draft analysis of client's other pension arrangements.
  • Setting up scheme current/deposit accounts (if required).
  • Obtaining transfer value quotes and organising transfers agreed by the consultant from prior schemes.
  • Preparing first draft of the initial actuarial report.
  • Drafting submission for approval of the scheme to the Inland Revenue.
  • Following up to ensure that IR approval is obtained.
  • Carrying out all other administrative tasks on the 'establishment checklist'.
  • Drafting standard deeds and liaising with company solicitors thereon as necessary.
  • Attending to scheme registration.

SIPP's

Scheme Establishment Preparing all necessary documentation for the Consultant to present to the clients.

Collating information on prior schemes and preparing first draft analysis of client's other pension arrangements.

  • Setting up scheme current/deposit accounts (if required).
  • Obtaining transfer value quotes and organising transfers agreed by the consultant from prior schemes. Issuing certificates in relation to the receipt of contribution Ensuring tax relief is reclaimed from Inland Revenue.
  • Providing information to accountants in relation to transfer in specie cases.

Trustee Responsibilities

FURBS

Organising documentation to establish FURBS. Organising payment of benefits in conjunction with consultant. Organising winding up of FURB's in conjunction with consultant.

General Duties each member of staff may be allocated various general duties and/or backup duties to cover other staff, which may change from time to time.

In addition, the Jobholder may be required to provide cover for other members of staff during periods of holiday or sickness absence.

Advice to Brokers

To undertake such administrative work as delegated by the consultant.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience within the financial sector ideally with SIPP's and SSAS's. A good grasp of modern office practices, good keyboard entry skills, and the ability to use the company's office software packages (with particular emphasis on word-processing software, for which expert skills are required),
