Job Description:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. We are a well-established and growing Security Company with offices across Manchester. This role offers flexible working hours, making it perfect for those seeking a balance between professional and personal commitments. The successful candidate will manage our purchase and sales ledgers, oversee credit control for roughly 300 accounts, and ensure our accounts are up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase ledger and sales ledger operations efficiently.
- Oversee credit control for approximately 300 accounts.
- Ensure all accounts are current and accurately maintained.
- Prepare monthly reports detailing incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Utilise QuickBooks for accounting tasks and data management.
- Liaise with the external accountant on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Excellent understanding of purchase and sales ledger operations.
- Experience in credit control and managing multiple accounts.
- Ability to produce accurate monthly financial reports.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with external accountants and internal teams.
Working Hours:
- Flexible working start and finish times.
- Core hours are from 9 AM to 2 PM.
- Monday to Friday schedule.
- Option to work part-time or full-time based on candidate preference and business needs.
