Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Sales Consultant at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a full time, 9 month fixed term contract basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £29,483 - £32,226 per annum.

The Sales Consultant role:

Attention Sales professionals - have you ever thought about a Sales role within a Further Education College Group?

Maybe Further Education isn't typically where you'd think about a role in Sales, but we have a large and highly regarded Sales team who promote and sell our fantastic range of apprenticeships, T Levels, Higher Education courses and more. As our Sales Consultant, you will proactively generate high quality leads across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire and convert these into new business for the College.

Key Responsibilities of our Sales Consultant:

Sales

  • To lead responsibility for apprenticeships in a defined area.

Customer focus

  • To be the key point of contact for a sector supporting across the Group where required, co-ordinating timely enrolments, facilitating enquiries and generating new business leads to develop strong industry links and greater opportunities for our student body.

Marketing

  • To be a sales ambassador for all that the College Group has to offer and promote the breadth and range of products and services available across our organisation to the local business community and beyond.

Effective teamwork

  • To work collaboratively and practically with internal teams in curriculum and other linked business support teams to provide support, innovation, insights and opportunities.

Customer relationship management (CRM)

  • To use the customer relationship management (CRM) system to maximum effect; so that reports can be generated on weekly/monthly progress, consolidate planned and completed sales activity and performance towards targets. Performance will be monitored against the CRM focusing on pipeline, conversions and losses.

Research/training

  • To conduct Labour Market Intelligence reports on key sector area (Construction) aligned to the role's responsibility, understanding the sectors in depth and using the data to prompt and drive sales activity/behaviour. To use this information to determine annual intake targets agreed within the curriculum business planning process.

Our ideal Sales Consultant should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 3 (A Level) English & Maths
  • Commercial acumen
  • Experience handling customer complaints
  • Proven track record of Business to Business Sales experience and building and converting potential new customers/clients
  • Proven administration, presentation and report writing skills
