Finance Manager

Heyland Recruitment are working alongside this market leading services organisation as they look to recruit an experienced Finance Manager into their growing finance function in the centre of Warrington.

As Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Finance Director and report to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for delivering a first- class service to members of our business at all levels, whilst managing the day-to-day activities of the finance team in your specified finance area.

Key Tasks

  • Producing a full set of Management Accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • To ensure stakeholder reports are correct, reviewing & authorising before submission
  • Credit control
  • Manage payments
  • Work with the Finance and Underwriting teams to align and reconcile risk and finance bordereaux.
  • Reporting of MI to MD, and assist in the development of same to help make informed decisions
  • Process and system development to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies
  • Ensuring all lines of income are billed in a timely manner
  • Supporting other Finance Managers with ad hoc activities
  • Build full process pack for all financial activity across specified areas the businesses for ISO accreditation
  • Manage members of staff, oversee their work and manage their development
  • Work together with the Finance Director as there will be some cross over with business accounts across the departments that are managed

Required Skills / Experience

  • Professional accountancy qualification or QBE (PQ will be considered)
  • Credit Control
  • Knowledge of Sage Line 50
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Ability to analyse financial statements, create reports, and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Proficiency in developing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Risk Management: Understanding of risk assessment and management techniques specific to the insurance industry.
  • Investment Management: Skills in managing investments, understanding market trends, and making informed investment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time management and organisational skills
