Part-Time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)
Location: Chesterfield
Days: Thursday and Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm
Start Date: January 2024
Contract: Maternity cover until July 2025
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SENTA to join our small, close-knit primary school, based in the rural outskirts of Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and welcoming environment with an established team of professionals who are committed to providing the best possible education for all pupils.
You will be working with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have additional needs, including ADHD and ASD. Your role will involve providing individual and small group support, ensuring each child can engage fully with their learning.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly ADHD and ASD, is highly desirable.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Team Teach qualification preferred; training can be provided if needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable with a passion for supporting children's development.
This role is to cover maternity leave until July 2025, with the possibility of further opportunities. You'll be joining an experienced and supportive team, all dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our students.
