Contract: Initially 3 months

Rate of pay: £14.24ltd per hour

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join Slough Bororugh Council. The Early Years Practitioner will provide full care and supervision for the children, ensuring that all their needs are met and working in close partnership with staff from local primary schools to provide fully integrated care and education and smooth transition from one phase to the next.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing operational plans and procedures
  • Delivering curriculum and educational programmes
  • Providing full care and supervision for the children
  • Working in close partnership with staff from local primary schools
  • Ensuring that the settings resources are used cost-effectively
  • Promoting high standards of behavioral and discipline
  • Upholding and promoting the settings policies on equalities and inclusion
  • Implementing all other of the settings policies and procedures
  • Assisting with marketing activities
  • Working in partnership with staff from schools and agencies
  • Attending planning and staff meetings as required
  • Working in any of the services Children's Centre's and early years settings as required
  • Undertaking any other duties which may become necessary to ensure the successful running of the setting

Requirements

  • A Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years old
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and OFSTED standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
