Are you a seasoned Social Worker seeking a fulfilling role? Barnet Council is looking for dedicated professionals to become part of our Intervention and Planning team. Key Details:

Position: Social Worker (Intervention and Planning team)
Salary: £39,951 - £44,019 per annum (basic salary)
Retention Bonus: 25% additional to all candidates (£49,938.75 - £55,023.75)
Pension Scheme Supplement: Option to select a lower-cost pension scheme and receive up to 17% of the base salary (£56,730.43 - £62,506.98)

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid Work: Minimum of 2 days in the office; flexible depending on family needs, team meetings, supervision, etc.
  • Duty Week: Every 4 weeks for Duty & Assessment team roles, with full-time office presence required during that week.

About You:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in child protection, child in need, and court work, including ASYE year
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of legislative frameworks and policies related to safeguarding children
  • Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication, particularly in writing assessments and plans
  • Impact: Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and influencing professional networks
  • Engagement: Innovative and positive engagement with children and families, committed to high-quality service delivery
