Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
The IT Apprentice will provide on-site IT support to schools. This role is designed to offer hands-on experience and on-the-job training for individuals looking to start their careers in Information Technology.

Support and Maintenance:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Perform regular system updates and backups

Network Administration:

  • Support the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and security systems
  • Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventories
  • Document technical issues and resolutions in the help desk system

Project Assistance:

  • Assist in various IT projects, including system upgrades, deployments, and migrations

What we are looking for:
Desirable skills:

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn

Personal qualities:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
