Role Overview: As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students. You'll work closely with a team of dedicated teaching assistants, maintaining a 1:1 ratio, to provide personalised support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Curriculum Planning: Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular learning experiences that cater to individual needs and abilities.
  • Instruction: Deliver engaging lessons, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Assessment: Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Behaviour Support: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social-emotional development.
  • Individualised Learning Plans: Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalised learning plans for each student.
  • Parent and Carer Engagement: Maintain open communication with families, ensuring a holistic approach to student support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an SEN setting.
  • Understanding of various learning needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties).
  • Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to student well-being.
