We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious top 20 law firm, seeking a Business Development Assistant to join their London office. This presents an excellent opportunity for a recent legal graduate or an individual beginning their career in Business Development and Marketing.
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Assistant, you will support business development and client development activities for the EMEA Capital Markets, Finance, and Restructuring practice groups. Reporting to the EMEA Business Development Managers for Capital Markets and Finance and Restructuring, you will collaborate closely with another BD Coordinator in the team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Pitch Preparation: Assist in the preparation of pitches to prospective clients.
- Material Management: Prepare and update standard materials such as credentials, pitches, and bios.
- Market Research: Conduct research on competitors, clients, and markets to inform business development strategies.
- Directory Submissions: Support practice groups with local and pan-European legal directory and award submissions.
- Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between partners within practices, industry groups, or offices.
- Cross-Selling: Support cross-selling initiatives to leverage firm-wide capabilities.
- Practice Group Plans: Assist in the implementation of Practice Group plans to drive growth.
- Event Organization: Organize and run internal and external events to enhance client relationships.
About You:
- Educational Background: Hold a University Degree, ideally in Law, Economics, or Business Studies, with a keen interest in Business Development and Marketing.
- Experience: Business development experience in an international law firm or professional services firm is highly advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: Possess a general knowledge of business and financial markets.
