Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working with a 2 form entry Primary School in South Bristol who are looking for a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher to join their team in the New Academic Year.

You will be joining this school who value their inclusive environment, supporting a diverse background and providing the best learning experience for each of their pupils.

The Role

As a successful candidate, you will be expected to have previous experience working within a KS1 class. You will be the Class Teacher for 30 children, where you will be expected to differentiate all lessons to ensure all children are able to access learning that meets their needs but also challenges them further.

There are some SEN children within the classroom, so an inclusive curriculum is a must and the ability to communicate and work in partnership with a Teaching Assistant is required.

ECTs are welcome.

You will be expected to:

  • Have great knowledge of Phonics and the screening test.
  • Ability to assess children's knowledge and development.
  • Plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning.
  • Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
