About the role
To provide extensive specialist subject matter expertise in the assessment of nuclear, explosive and other major hazards associated with actual, planned and/or decommissioned facilities, plant, equipment or product. Advises on strategies for the development of safety assessments (safety case/safety basis/risk assessments). Develops and delivers complex safety analyses, assessments and associated documentation.
Top Essential evaluation criteria
1. Experience of undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN):
a. Design Basis Assessment
b. Unmitigated dose assessments to derive safety function classification.
c. derivation of classification of the required safety systems
d. Understanding of types of protection methods and the substantiation of those required
2. HAZARD Identification.
3. Experience in Management of Safety cases.
An Active Clearance is required for this role.
