Job Overview:
We are seeking two experienced Qualified Solicitors to join a reputable law firm in Glasgow. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 2 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) who can independently manage a caseload of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims. The successful candidates will start with 60 mature litigated files, with the caseload increasing to 80-100 as they settle into the role. The position requires attendance at court for case proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Handle a caseload of 60 mature litigated RTA files, with the expectation to manage up to 100 cases as the role progresses.
- Court Representation: Attend court to manage and represent your cases effectively, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the legal process.
- File Progression: Ensure timely progression of files through the litigation process, from initial instruction to resolution.
- Legal Research and Drafting: Conduct thorough legal research and prepare necessary legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and court bundles.
- Negotiation and Settlement: Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to achieve favorable settlements, when appropriate.
- Compliance: Ensure all actions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and the firm's internal policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- PQE: Minimum of 2 years Post-Qualified Experience as a Solicitor, with a focus on Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims.
- RTA Expertise: Proven experience in handling and litigating RTA claims independently.
- Caseload Management: Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and cases progress smoothly.
- Court Experience: Comfortable and experienced in attending and representing cases in court.
- Location: Must be based in or around Glasgow, with the ability to commute to court as required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in case management and documentation.
