Case Manager - Mortgages

**Job Overview:

As a Case Manager, you will be the key liaison between Underwriter, customers, introducers, 3rd party property specialists, and solicitors, ensuring a seamless journey from application to funding. You will manage customer documentation efficiently, support underwriting colleagues, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to achieve completion targets.

**Main Duties:

  • Underwriting Support: Assist Underwriting colleagues by managing their pipeline applications.
  • Email Management: Monitor and respond to inquiries from own and team inboxes.
  • Client Interaction: Handle telephone inquiries from Brokers and direct Borrowers regarding new applications.
  • Data Management: Accurately manage the submission process, ensuring all data entry is completed correctly for a smooth transition to underwriting.
  • Application Processing: Handle applications from receipt to underwriting submission, completing necessary fraud prevention checks.
  • Case Assessment: Package new applications, assess the borrower's Assets & Liabilities, and request additional information required by the Underwriter.
  • Consent Requests: Obtain consent for 2nd charges from existing Lenders.
  • Pipeline Management: Proactively manage a pipeline of 50 cases, ensuring completion targets are met by requesting necessary information from customers and third parties.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide updates and ensure all required information is requested within service levels.
  • System Accuracy: Ensure all data entry and system notations are accurate and completed within agreed SLAs for all new transactions.
  • Relationship Building: Communicate clearly and consistently with brokers, introducers, customers, and colleagues to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Instruction Preparation: Prepare valuation, Asset Manager/Project Monitoring Surveyor, and Legal instructions for the underwriter.
  • Documentation Drafting: Draft conditional offer letters and Facility Letters.
  • Business Representation: Represent the company at PIN and other networking events as part of ongoing professional development.
  • Additional Duties: Engage in activities outside of your day-to-day role as required.

**Person Specification:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with a focus on minimizing customer effort and maximizing business goals.
  • Administrative Experience: Previous experience in an administration role is essential.
  • Property Knowledge: Basic understanding of property, with a desire to develop a career in the specialist finance industry.
  • Customer Outcomes: Understanding of what constitutes a good customer outcome.
