KS2 Supply Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with a specialism in Key Stage 2? Dunbar Education is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Day-to-Day Supply Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Ampthill, Central Bedfordshire.

The school have said that whilst a Year 3 supply teacher is their preference, they can accommodate someone in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 (Key Stage 2) as well.

The Role: As a Day-to-Day Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality lessons and ensuring a seamless continuation of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and varied environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2.
  • Adapt quickly to different classrooms and learning environments.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Follow lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on pupil progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in Key Stage 2 with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to new situations quickly.
