Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: £14.65 PH

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role:

Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to make a real impact in the educational sector? We are seeking a passionate and motivated Psychology Graduate to join our team in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a practical setting, supporting the mental health and well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with diverse psychological and emotional needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual support plans and interventions.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Conduct observations and assessments to identify students' needs and monitor progress.
  • Offer one-to-one mentoring and support sessions for students.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and support provided.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide mental health and well-being initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology (minimum 2:1 preferred).
  • Strong understanding of psychological theories and practices related to child development and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support young people's mental health and well-being.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
