Maths Teacher

- Salary: Up to UPS3 + SEN Allowance of £2,539 p.a. (ECT applicants welcomed)
An established independent residential special school, is seeking a Maths Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding, inclusive practitioner or an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) with experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4.
Day to Day of the role:
- Devise and teach the Maths curriculum to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Plan, deliver, and assess bespoke creative teaching programmes within the National Curriculum expectations.
- Assess and report on pupil progress, maintaining high standards in safeguarding, health & safety, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies effectively to support pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Collaborate with our SEND Team, including Specialist Teachers, Therapists, and Counsellors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Maths.
- High expectations of pupils and the ability to manage behaviour positively.
- Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEMH, ASC, SpLD, MLD, and Trauma and Attachment are desirable.
- A specialist teaching qualification at level 5 or above would be an advantage.
