Job Opportunity: Class 2 Driver

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver to join our client's team based in Slough.

Duties:

  • Adhere to the basic requirements outlined in the RHA Professional Drivers Handbook.
  • Drive safely, considering the size of the vehicle.
  • Keep within the speed limits for the type and size of the vehicle you are driving.
  • Complete vehicle daily checks and report any defects.
  • Report any issues and collect all paperwork from the Traffic Office.
  • Carry out deliveries according to the planned route and contact the Traffic Office immediately if any issues impact your delivery schedule.
  • Contact the Traffic Office for instructions on collections after all deliveries are made.
  • Return all paperwork to the Traffic Office at the end of each shift.
  • Wear the supplied uniform and correct PPE for each task as required by the Health & Safety Executive. Minimum requirements are safety boots and a hi-viz jacket/vest, which can be provided.

Requirements:

  • Category C Driving Licence (Maximum 3 points)
  • Driver CPC qualification card
  • Completed required driver training hours

Salary:

  • Up to £32,000 per annum + Overtime available

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 (including 1 hour paid lunch break)
  • Requirement of 1 Saturday in 4
