We are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant with previous experience working in a UK Pharmacy environment to work Monday to Friday DAYS for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer where you will be dispensing controlled drugs based in their premises in West Molesey in Surrey which is easily accessible by public transport and there is free onsite parking too!
This Pharmacy Assistant role is permanent working Monday to Friday 10am-7pm (1000-1900) with one hour's lunch break daily (40 hours per week), offering a salary up to £25,000 per annum plus annual bonus, professional training and qualifications and other excellent benefits as below!
As Pharmacy Assistant you will be working in a team of 8 within their internal pharmacy onsite reporting into the Pharmacy Manager coordinating and managing end to end receipt, processing and dispatch of prescriptions for controlled drugs. Key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving prescriptions e.g. via email; log, and dispense
- Patient contact; informing patients of their prescriptions and the prescription charges via phone and email
- Taking payments
- Dispensing process; creating dispensing labels, maintaining records of the dispensing, creating dispatch courier labels
- Maintaining sufficient stock levels in the dispensary, including stock transfers
- Maintaining/producing management reports on prescription activity
- Maintaining process protocols
- Monitoring shelf life of stock held on site
- Carrying out administrative tasks relating to Import/Export of CBM's Directing requests and unresolved issues to the designated person
- Keeping records of customer interactions and transactions
- Recording details of enquiries, comments and complaints and actions taken
- Communicating and co-coordinating with internal departments
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of working in a UK Pharmacy environment is essential
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing desirable although not essential
- Experience of interacting with patients and working as a member of a team
- IT literate - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office with experience of using SAP would be an advantage and accurate keyboard skills
- Excellent command of the English language
