Group Reporting Manager

Morgan McKinley have partnered with a growing listed business. They are looking to appoint a Group Reporting Manager to join an amazing team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape their Group Finance function to meet high standards. You'll lead efforts in implementing a new consolidation system and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving complex accounting issues, supporting accurate reporting, and collaborating with local finance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) to complex transactions.
  • Research and analyse accounting pronouncements and regulatory updates.
  • Draft technical accounting papers and maintain group accounting policies.
  • Advise finance teams and business on technical accounting matters.
  • Assist FP&A team with technical accounting for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and auditors on accounting matters.
  • Support implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory changes
  • Contribute to production of Group's consolidated statutory accounts.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliation process and reporting for Head Office entities.
  • Assist with financial and covenant reporting for external facilities.
  • Support management of Oracle consolidation software and assist Financial Controller on ad hoc matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in technical accounting and statutory reporting, encompassing IFRS and UK GAAP, with focus on standards such as IFRSs 3, 9, 15, and 16
  • Expertise in preparing statutory accounts adhering to both IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Previous experience in the Group Reporting department of a sizeable international corporation
