Service Coordinator

Posted by Southdown Housing Association .

Southdown offers a competitive salary, generous car allowance, pension, employee assistance (EAP) and healthcare package plus a range of other benefits, including qualification to apply for a Blue Light Card and the Cycle to Work Scheme.

This role will coordinate the Staying Well Eastbourne service which is an innovative service offering out-of-hours support to people experiencing acute distress due to their mental health difficulties. This psychologically informed service follows a crisis café model and is a model that we deliver across East Sussex. The service is staffed by a mix of paid Recovery Advisors and Peer Workers.

We are looking to appoint a Service Coordinator to lead our non-clinical team based in Eastbourne. The role will involve regular evenings and weekends working alongside the team and coordinating the day-to-day running of the service. The Service Coordinator will offer line management and clinical supervision to the staff team. The Service Coordinator will be in contact with relevant stakeholders to ensure the overall quality of the service and will assist in ensuring the service is meeting its stated objectives.

You will be closely supported in your role by the Team Manager and you should have experience in managing a team and delivering supervision to non-clinical staff.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of our innovative community mental health services within the city. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a good level of experience of working with people with mental health needs, a good understanding of local NHS and other support services and will be able to demonstrate a high level of resilience and ability to work autonomously.
