Audit Manager

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Audit Manager to join a top 10 accountancy practice team, based in Poole.

As an Audit Manager, you will supporting the Senior Management team which includes the Partners, in order to develop and build the audit team and client offering. You will also work closely with clients on a day-to-day basis and be committed to providing an exceptional audit service.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance adhering to relevant accounting standards and auditing procedures..
  • Review and evaluate audit work performed by junior auditors, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage client relationships, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the audit process.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
  • Leading the Audit team and assisting where necessary
  • Contribute to the professional development of junior team members by providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Manage audit budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project completion.

Skills and Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Previous experience of leading external audits managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit teams.
  • Prior experience of working at a similar level (Audit Assistant Manager or Manager level.)
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Past experience of managing, training and coaching an audit team.
  • Heavy exposure to relevant audit software and Microsoft packages.
