Social Worker - Adult Learning Disability

Requirements:

  • Social Work England Registration: Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Relevant Experience: Extensive experience in adult social care, particularly with learning disabilities and autism, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams, coupled with excellent report writing and computer skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with an Learning Disabilities team based in South London as a Social Worker/Senior Social Worker. The role comprises of care management work such as completing strength-based care act assessments, MCA's, occasional management of duty, annual statutory reviews and longer-term case work.

The Learning Disability team provides care management and safeguarding support under the Care Act 2014 to people over the age of 18 who are in need of community care services. These include services for people with LD and or Autism and people who provide unpaid care to friends or family.
