About Us: Concept- IT is pleased to be working once again with a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation seeking a proactive Buyer with strong experience in category management, sourcing new suppliers, and supplier management. You'll be a key contributor in ensuring they deliver exceptional value to our customers through effective purchasing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead category management initiatives to optimise procurement strategies and supplier relationships.
- Source and on-board new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality, price, and service standards.
- Manage and develop supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring supplier performance to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Work closely with internal teams to align purchasing decisions with business goals and provide innovative solutions to procurement challenges.
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the supply chain.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and value delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role, ideally with a focus on category management and supplier sourcing.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage and influence supplier relationships.
- Experience in sourcing new suppliers and building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a track record of problem-solving and driving results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, with experience in market research and trend analysis.
