Operational Excellence Manager

Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting an Operational Excellence Manager to join a very successful car manufacturing company based in Norfolk. As a world-renowned sports car manufacturing company, my client is looking to add a driven candidate, that can streamline the processes, as well as increasing efficiency and reducing cost.

Overview

The purpose of the role is to establish the most refined operational pathway through observation on the current processes, measuring the successes and failures, quantifying the data and providing a more detailed operational structure, to ensure success of the team.

The ideal candidate will be heavily involved in a transformation of the total supply chain and will be accountable for the operational structure of excellence within the company.

The Role

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, Experience-based

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Hours: Standard Business Hours

Expectations

  • You will become the first line owner of the relevant business applications
  • Providing assistance and support to supply chain operations – streamline and maximise the operational output within the business systems
  • Sole ownership over operational procedures and implementing training
  • Ensuring data is accurately monitored and input into the business systems, to ensure the correct operational outcomes
  • Driving change management
  • Improving and supporting development of the assigned business systems
  • Working alongside the IT departments so improve technological success
  • Supporting business initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience working on process design, operations management or similar experience in an automotive setting
  • Skilled in SAP S4 Hana, SRM and BPM
  • True care and passion for operational excellence and success
  • Experience managing business procedures within a technical and highly complex industry
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work alongside and collaborate with different technical departments
  • History of change management experience
  • Very strong leadership and organisational skills, alongside an ability to solve problems
  • Very strong written and verbal communications
  • Can provide evidence of success and replicate that within the role
