Crane Engineer required. My client is a leading supplier of mobile Cranes, tower cranes and a range of plant equipment. They are looking to bolster their team with an experienced crane engineer in the Northeast. The ideal candidate will come from a plant service background, be experienced in both Mechanical and electrical work and be based locally to Widnes. The client is willing to take on an experienced heavy plant fitter also.
This role requires a manual driving licence.
Crane Engineer Position Overview
- Planned preventative maintenance on a range of mobile cranes & plant equipment
- Fault finding, service and maintenance on mobile cranes
- Working on a range of mechanical equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, winches, motors, gearboxes and engines
- Performing fault finding, diagnosis and repair on control panels, switchgear and other electrical equipment
- This role is mainly depot based but occasionally will be the need to travel across Liverpool, Manchester and Cheshire for breakdowns and repairs.
Crane Engineer Position Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in fitting/maintenance
- Previous experience as a crane engineer/heavy plant fitter
- Experience working on mobile cranes up to 230 tonnes
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ideally based in Widnes, however Liverpool, Manchester or Chester will be considered
Crane Engineer Position Remuneration
- £16.00 - £18.00 per hour
- 50-hour week Monday - Friday (7:00-5:00 or 8:00-6:00)
- Overtime readily available at time and a half and double time
- Company vehicle and fuel card involved
- 28 days holiday including public holidays
- Pension
