An opportunity for a Mixed Tax Manager has arisen to join a well established, independent accountancy firm in Redhill.

Client Details

My client is a well established and highly reputable firm of accountants and tax advisors in Redhill in Surrey. They are a tax led firm that deals with the upper end of the SME market.

Description

This role will work closely with the Tax Principal to oversee the corporate and personal tax compliance functions. The main role will be more complex tax advice, assignments and planning for corporate clients. This will encompass giving advice across all taxes, which offers a great opportunity to broaden existing knowledge for the right candidate. The role will be broadly 75% advisory & 25% compliance.

  • Reviewing and providing input on the corporation tax returns for larger and more complex clients
  • Reviewing personal tax returns for clients with more complex affairs
  • Dealing with client tax queries on an ad hoc basis
  • Assisting with planned strategic tax advice (e.g. group reconstructions, statutory and non-statutory business clearances etc.)
  • Working with Owner-Managers to provide practical solutions to issues facing their businesses

Management of a tax team of two (one in Personal Tax & one in Corporate Tax)

Profile

An ideal candidate should have:

  • An ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification (dual accounts/tax qualification desirable)
  • A background in providing tax advice to SMEs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as a large part of the role involves communicating directly with clients
  • Well organised and have good time management skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team but be comfortable managing their own workload

Job Offer

  • A salary of circa £50,000 - £65,000 (may be further flexibility DOE)
