Position: Demand Specialist
Location: Chertsey
Salary: Competitive Day Rate + Bonus Scheme
Duration: Two Positions Available (One Ongoing Contract and One 12 Month FTC)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Overview of a Demand Specialist:

As a Demand Specialist, you will be working with the retail operations and commercial teams to ensure stores have the right products and stock to improve sales opportunities.

Responsibilities of a Demand Specialist:

  • Gather market insights to support the forecasting model.
  • Attend trading meetings with clients.
  • Analyse and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Manage product categories for concession stores.
  • Build short and long-term demand forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyse forecasts with various divisions.
  • Provide store sales forecasts to purchasing teams.
  • Build relationships with supply chain teams to align stock allocation.
  • Negotiate with supply chain during peak periods or out-of-stock situations.

Key competencies of a Demand Specialist:

  • Supply Chain, Demand Planning and forecasting experience within a retail, FMCG business.
  • Knowledge of advanced planning techniques - S&OP, capacity planning etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills essential (including pivot tables, vlook ups etc).
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Must have an analytical attitude.
